The rebirth of a 100-year-old house in Choryang-dong, Busan
Ochoryang is a 100-year-old Japanese wooden house and was designated as Korea's Modern Cultural Heritage Registered Cultural Property No. 349 in 2007 due to its immaculate garden, space composition, and architecture. Ochoryang was built in 1925 and was a house for the Japanese for 20 years. However, after the liberation, the space was inhabited by Koreans for 80 years. Although it is a Japanese-style wooden house, it is also one that the Koreans have taken care of for a long time. Inside the house are artworks, music, and books to enjoy while drinking a cup of tea, making it a great place to travel back in time. If you want a cup of tea in a unique space, we recommend you visit Ochoryang.
