The Chupungnyeong Water Tower is the 47th National Registered Modern Cultural Heritage of Korea. Yeongdong-gun as a county developed a park adjacent to the tower, in order to preserve the historical value of the heritage. The result is the Chupungnyeong Water Tower Park. The park offers a variety of entertainment, including its rose garden composed of 50 types of roses, as well as its ecological pond, fragrant garden, water reservoir, train experience center, themed playground, outdoor education area, and resting area. As a result, the park is a popular destination among Korean families during the weekend. The Chupungnyeong Water Tower Park becomes even more crowded during June, when its beautiful and vibrant roses reach their climax.
