‘Hysteria: Contemporary Realism Painting’ is an art exhibition takins place at the Ilmin Museum of Art from April 14th 2023 to June 25th 2023. The exhibition displays realist art pieces created by 13 Korean artists, and presents an opportunity to understand the approach each artist pursued regarding realism and art. Try to discover the concerns and corresponding answers each realist artist found, in a time period when new media including photography and videography arose, threatening the position of realism. The charming art exhibition displays pieces that are realist, but do not necessarily imitate the figure the way it is. You will be given the opportunity to deeply think about the fundamental meaning of art, creating new shape in empty spaces.
