The footsteps of Michael Rakowitz, attempting to recover the plundered Iraqi relics
The first Korean solo exhibition of Iraqi-American artist Michael Rakowitz is taking place in 2023, from May 10th to July 30th. The iconic exhibition, ’The Invisible Enemy Should Not Exist,’ is hosted by the Barakat Contemporary. You will be able to meet the 20 years worth of art pieces made by Rakowitz, who had to immigrate to the United States due to the Iraq War. The artist is focusing on recovering the Iraqi relics plundered after the war, which delivers a meaningful message toward the fast-changing global environment.
