Preserving the history and mystery of 250 million years
Seongnyugul Cave is located adjacent to the Buryeongsa Temple of Uljin, and has a history of 250 million years. The cave has been introduced throughout various documents and artworks of Korea's long history, including during the Three Kingdoms of Korea and the Joseon Dynasty. During the Japanese invasions of Korea, the Korean locals hid a Buddhist statue in order to pray for survival.
