The second highest mountain peak in Korea
The Jirisan Mountain is well known as one of the top 5 mountains of Korea, along with Mount Kumgang and Hallasan Mountain. Located across Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollabuk-do, and Jeollanam-do, the mountain is also Korea's first official national park. Jirisan is the second tallest mountain in Korea, following Hallsan of Jeju Island, which makes it the highest on the lands of the peninsula itself. The mountain and its Cheonwangbong Peak is beautiful regardless of the time of the year, and is a highly recommended destination for travelers.
