The Homigot Sunrise Square is a landmark of Pohang city and is well known for its astonishing sunrise scenery, as can be easily inferred from its name. Homigot was reffered to as the best location available under the sky and one of the top 10 beautiful scenery spots in Korea, by numerous feng shui scholars of the Joseon Dynasty. Located on the most eastern region of the peninsular, Homigot resembles the tail of a tiger when looking at the peninsula from above. The iconic Hand of Mutual Shake, a sculpture piece symbolizing peace and hope, is a popular photo spot.
