Taste the symbol of Daejeon
SUNGSIMDANG is an iconic bakery house located in Daejeon, and is one of Korea's top three bakeries. SUNGSIMDANG is especially popular for its fried soboro-ppang and leek bread, and also was responsible for providing bread for Pope Francis during his time in Korea. The bakery is a local shop that only operates in Daejeon, which motivates numerous local Koreans and foreign tourists to visit the city. Leaving Daejeon without trying SUNGSIMDANG's bread is almost identical to not visiting the city, and the phenomenal bread house is a must-visit for anyone.
