Meet Korea's traditional garden, containing the universe of Joseon
The Gwanghanruwon Garden of Namwon city is a designated scenic site of Korea, and is a garden that expresses the astronomic ideologies from the Joseon Dynasty. The Gwanhanru represents the moon, while the surrounded lake symbolozies the milky way. There is also an ojakgyo bridge which comes from a local folk tale called the The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. The garden is a unique approach of expressing the sky and universe on ground, and becomes even more beautiful during the night thanks to its lighting. The Gwanghanru reflected in the lake will especially be a memorable sight. The garden was constructed in 1400, but is consistently visited by numerous people.
